Overview

IdeaToPress helps users connect a WordPress site, generate articles through the WordPress plugin, and create WordPress drafts. This policy explains what information we collect and how it is used.

Information we collect

We may collect your email address, account password hash, beta invite status, subscription status, usage counts, saved content packages, generated article/job metadata, connected WordPress site details, plugin version/status metadata, and encrypted connector tokens.

WordPress connector data

When you connect a WordPress site, IdeaToPress stores the site URL and an encrypted site token so the WordPress plugin can use your SaaS account. The app and plugin do not automatically publish posts.

Generated content

Generated articles may be stored in your account so the WordPress plugin can show status, preview, edit, regenerate, retry, and draft actions. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before publishing it.

Payments

Payments and subscription checkout are handled by Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy may send billing emails and receipts. IdeaToPress stores subscription identifiers, plan status, billing event metadata, and usage-reset information needed to manage access and billing-period limits. We do not store full card numbers.

Email

We use email for account-related messages such as password reset links, verification links, cancellation confirmation links, billing notices, and support communication.

Cookies and local storage

IdeaToPress uses session cookies and browser storage where needed for authentication, security, account preferences, and checkout or dashboard flows. Lemon Squeezy checkout may use its own cookies or scripts when you open secure checkout.

Logs and security data

We may process request logs, IP-derived security signals, browser or WordPress version metadata, and rate-limit events to operate the service, investigate abuse, protect accounts, and troubleshoot errors.

Retention

Account records, connected site records, generated content history, usage records, and billing metadata are retained while needed to provide the service, meet operational needs, resolve disputes, and maintain security. You can contact support for account or data questions.

Security

We use session cookies, password hashing, encrypted connector tokens, and HTTPS. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we aim to protect account and connector data with reasonable safeguards.
